He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Young Degree; his parents, Mary Minor and Alfred Degree; his stepfather Robert Jack Minor; and his siblings, Alfred Degree, III, Gregory Minor, Stanley Degree, Stella Campos and Beverly Marts.
He is survived by: his children, Jerome Degree, Jr. (Patricia Forbes) and Renee Degree; his sisters, Donna Degree, Debra Jones, Rhonda Minor Jones (Jeff) and Melanie Minor; his sister-in-law Hilda Ingram (Kenneth Boyd); his goddaughter Pamela Evans; his grandchildren, Briane Degree, Christopher Whitney, Janiya Griffin and Courtney Hart; and his great grandchildren, Jailah Randall, Champion Sylvester and Jani Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Morning Star Baptist Church (4101 LA-308, Raceland, LA 70394). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
