He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Mae Robichaux Borne; his parents, Leonard A. Borne and Annette C. Borne; his son Terry Borne; and his brothers, Russell, Norman Borne and Herman "Wally" Borne.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary P. Borne (Suzanne) and Gregory J. Borne (Lea); his grandchildren, Michael Borne (Missy), David Borne (Betsy), Sarah Swasta (Jacob), Brandi Degruise (Eric) and Amy Crochet (Robert); his sister Aline B. St. Pierre; and his sisters-in-law, Tullia "Bea" Borne and Marguerite Guidry. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church (3500 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394). The military honors will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
