She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Eugene Owens; her son Melvin Eugene Owens, Jr.; her grandson Eric Owens; her parents, Lester Earl Smith and Birdie Winberry Smith; and her siblings, Loyce "Buck" Smith, Ila Mae Strange, Louise Page, Selma Jurls and Joyce Landry.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Owens (Jose Vasquez) and Charles Owens (Lisa); her grandchildren, Dereck Owens and Brad Owens; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, Gaige, Ian and Annalise.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home (805 Thomas St, Stamps, AR 71860).
