Virginia T. Plaisance Obituary
We bid farewell to Virginia T. Plaisance of Raceland, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 84. Virginia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As Virginia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Virginia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cleveland A. Plaisance, Sr.; her parents, Eddie Trosclair and Theresa Duet Trosclair; her sister Rita Hebert; her son-in-law Keith Parks; and her grandson Michael Lirette.
She is survived by: her children, Aledia P. Parks, Cameron J. Plaisance, Sr. (Liz), Monica P. Lirette (Arthur), Virginia "Jenna" Edwards (Craig) and Cleveland A. Plaisance, Jr. (Marilyn). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Nativity Community Center (3500 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394). A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery (3500 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394).
