He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis "Harris" Bourgeois and Shirley Rita Dempster; and his brothers-in-law, Calvin Dufrene, Jerry Guidry and Samuel Ranes.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Ranes Bourgeois; his children, Stacey Bourgeois LeBlanc (Scott) and Wayne Joseph Bourgeois, Jr. (Helana Allemand Bourgeois); his grandchildren, Luke, Shea, Baryn Bourgeois, Charli Aucoin (Brenen Melancon), Colby LeBlanc (Kiera), Marlee Hillebrand (Zack) and Chloe LeBlanc; his great grandchildren, Avery Melancon, Graham LeBlanc and Natalie Hillebrand; his stepchildren, Paul Ranes and Nicklas Lyons; his siblings, Gary Bourgeois (Betty), Brenda Bourgeois Folse (Reed), Betty Jane Bourgeois Dufrene and Janice Bourgeois Guidry; and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Ranes (Vickie), Ella Ranes and Arlene Bourg. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren.
