He is survived by: his close friend Karla "Kay" Bolenbaucher Spears of Merryville; his children, Emily Perkins (Martin Segura), Steven Spears, Virginia Henry (Anna), Jason Spears (Brandy) and Amanda Spears (William Pierce); his son-in-law Patrick Perkins; his grandchildren, Erica, Jessica, Bre, Samanatha, Kam, James, Dagan, Lydia and Kay Kay; his siblings, Raymond Spears, Mervin Spears, Gladys Franks (Steven), Mary Taylor (Timmy) and Evelyn Navarre; and his pet Odie. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild.
