He was predeceased by: his parents, Amay Fontenot, Sr. and Beulah M. Fontenot; and his brothers, Jimmy and Melvin Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Irene Ancelet Fontenot of Roberts Cove; his daughter Michelle Fontenot of Austin, TX; his stepsons, Michael Gomez of Austin, TX and Bill Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; and his sister Betty Spallino. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight-great-grandchildren.
