He was predeceased by: his son Darin Romero; his parents, John Lavergne and Edith Abshire Lavergne; his wife Marie Latiolais Lavergne; his siblings, John, Robert, Charlie, Joseph Black Lavergne, Joyce Richard, Mary Melancon, Gayle Broussard, Glenda Arsement and Gerry Lavergne; his siblings' children, Kenny Quibodeaux of Carl Richard, V. J, Kevin Breaux and Brandy Arsement; his great-nephew Hunter; and his niece Malorie Comeaux.
He is survived by: his son Troy Lavergne (Susan); his daughter-in-law Pauline Romero; and his sisters, Gloria Comeaux and Cynthia (Kenneth Comeaux). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
