She is survived by: her daughter Ashley Joiner (Dennis Joiner II) of Denham Springs, LA; her grandchildren, Alijah Vincent of Denham Springs, Jasmine Batiste of Denham Springs, Zachariah Batiste of Denham Springs and Dennis Joiner III of Denham Springs; and her siblings, Bertha Menard (Henry) of Rayne, LA, Margaret Porrier of Broussard, LA, Harris Nero, Larry Nero (Janet), Daniel Nero (Kathy), Micheal Nero (Rachael), Alton Nero Jr. (Christine) of Duson, LA, Wilson Nero of Mire, LA, Kenneth Nero of Crowley, LA, Roger Nero (Georgia) of Rayne, LA, Rodney Nero of Lafayette, LA and Patrick Nero (Rachael) of Ville Platte, LA.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, 40 great-nieces and nephews, 5 great-great-nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gossen Funeral Home Chapel (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (400 E Betty St, Rayne, LA 70578).
