He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard "Sonny" Prejean, Jr. and Vivian Marie Adams Prejean; his niece Emily Prejean Dupuis; his grandparents, Leonard "Black" Prejean, Jr., Evvie Lyons Prejean, Edward Adams and Danos Adams of Florida; and his in-laws, Pearly Bourque and Nelrelie Savoy Bourque.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Bourque Prejean of Mire; his children, Dexter J. Prejean of Mire and Celeste Prejean Touchet (Chad Touchet) of Scott; his grandsons, Aidan Prejean (Teryn LeBlanc) and Even Prejean; his great grandchildren, Kyren Prejean and Kiyah LeBlanc; his stepgranddaughter Talia Touchet; and his brothers, Kevin Prejean and Jackie Prejean (Becky Prejean). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
