He was predeceased by: his father Roland Privat; his son Scott Privat; his mother Anna Marie Heinen Privat; and his siblings, Anna Marie Privat Burch, Louis Joseph Privat, Roland "Bobby" Privat, Edward Privat and Thomas "Tommy" Privat.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte S. Privat; his children, Paul Privat (Fetzer), Chip Privat (Tammy Miller Privat) and Angelle Privat Benoit; and his grandchildren, Drake Benoit, Taylor Benoit, Shane Privat, Harley P. Davidson, Caitlyn Privat, Erring P. Meaux and Karter Privat. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (401 S Adams Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (400 E Betty St, Rayne, LA 70578).
