Julia B. Schomaker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia B. Schomaker of Rayne, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hap Schomaker; her parents, Robert Harry and Jeanne Bull, Sr. of Rayne Louisiana; her siblings, Robert Harry Bull, Jr. (Walterine) of Biloxi Mississippi, Ethel Schexnayder (Lawrence) of Rayne, Charles Bull of Welsh, Edward Bull (Theresa) of Arabi, Margaret Fore (Ed) of Mississippi and Mildred Sylvestri, Sr. (Phillip) of New Jersey; her siblings' children, Charles Fore, Charles Timothy Bull, John Edward Bull, David Bull, Walter Joseph Bull, Jeanne Worthington and Catherine Bull; and her great-niece Dana Bull Hambauugh.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Schomaker Jr. (Lucindy), Stephen Schomaker Sr. (Denyse) and Peggy Schomaker Prejean (Michael); her grandchildren, Carly Evens (Rob), Lauren Schomaker, Stephen Schomaker Jr. (Ashley), Meghan Widmann (Brian), Sean McGovern, Michael Prejean, II (Hannah) and Zachary Prejean (Kati); her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Myles, Oliver, Wyatt, Wade, Emmy, Eli, Ellen, Cecelia, Ila and Sylvie; her brother Julian Bull of Texas; her sister-in-law Lydia Bull; and her friend Debra Ozone.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Duhon Funeral Home - Rayne (900 E Texas Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Christopher Catholic Church (309 Manson Ave, Metairie, LA 70001).
