She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. James "Jim" Bush, Jr.; and her parents, Antoine Raymond and Jeraldine McBride Raymond. She is survived by: her children, Michael Bush (Courtney), John Bush (Lindsey), Mary Katharine Dore (Jason) and Elizabeth Leonards (Luke); her brothers, Steve Raymond and Walter Raymond (Joan Raymond); her siblings-in-law, David Bush, Nancy Stutes and Elizabeth Mooney (Mike); her grandchildren, Jack, Peter, Eleanor, William, Caroline, Annie, Mary-Cynthia, Edith, Lita and Gabriel; her mother-in-law Betty Ann Guidry Bush; her siblings-in-law, Jerome Bush, Darrel Stutes and Sandra Bush; and her siblings' children, Christine Stutes, Derek Bush and Ben Stutes. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (401 S Adams Ave, Rayne, LA 70578).
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Raymond Bush's name to the MHE Research Foundation, a cause dear to her heart as two of her granddaughters live with Multiple Hereditary Exostoses (MHE), a rare genetic condition causing benign bone tumors.
