He was predeceased by: his former wife Marcella Elizabeth Habetz Gossen; his wife Marjorie Marie Devillier Gossen; his daughter-in-law Fay Fruge Gossen; his parents, Henry Peter Gossen and Julia Rose Olinger Gossen; his sister Flavia Diane Gossen; and his siblings-in-law, Julian Didier and Elaine Leonards Gossen.
He is survived by: his sons, Randy Gossen (Mary-Elizabeth Gossen) and John Gossen; his stepchildren, Donna Butler Vincent (Timothy Vincent), Doug Butler and David E. Butler (Dusty Butler); and his siblings, Henrietta Gossen Didier, Gilbert Gossen (Florence), Donald Gossen (Henrietta) and Herbert Joseph Gossen, Sr.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one great grandbaby.
