He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonie Rieger, and John Paul Rieger, Sr.; and his sisters, Evelyn Long, Marie "Tincy" Woodall and Vada Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Terry V. Rieger (Dee) of Swartz, LA, Jackie Nored (Terry) of Start, LA, Sandy DeFir of Richmond, VA and Kevin R. Rieger; his grandchildren, Robert V. Rieger, TerryLynn Rieger, John A. Rieger, Amber DeFir, Kevin B. DeFir, Elizabeth DeFir, David DeFir, Tyler Nored, Chelsea Nored, Savannah R. Rieger and Ethan W. Rieger; his siblings, John Paul Rieger (Loudell), Jane Bryan, Dale Rieger and Marvin Rieger (Doris); and his pet Sweetpea. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at the First United Pentecostal Church, Rayville, LA.
