He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Bell Acreman and Fredrick Berziel Murphy; his sister Shirley Herring; his granddaughter Crystal Ivy; and his great grandchild Austin Petterson.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Murphy, Edna Lusk (Steve), Beverly Lord, Fred Murphy, Jr. (Michelle) and Roger Murphy; and his sister Dorothy Bryan (Sadie Quimby).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown-Holley Funeral Home (603 Francis St, Rayville, LA 71269). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
