It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Silk of Rayville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Albion Davis and Birtie Hopkins Silk; and his siblings, Thomas Silk, Norman Silk, Jimmy Silk, Albion Davis Silk, Jr., Melvin Silk, Richard Silk, Betty Lee Silk, Virginia McAlister and Mary Ann Baker.
He is survived by : his wife Emma Jean Silk; his children, Gregory Scott Silk, Stephen Silk (Patricia) and Kimberly Silk Willis (Gabriel Ray); his grandchildren, Dustin Silk (Mandy), Heather Thomas (Daniel), Megan Medlin (Nathan), Ashley Erin Silk and Bryant Scott Silk (Taylor); and his sister Betty C. McCowin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
