She was predeceased by: her husband Leon Laughlin; her son Eric Melton; her great grandchildren, Neveah Melton and Sasha Laughlin; her parents, Marshal Trahan and Lillian Trahan; and her brother Donald Trahan.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Laughlin and Bobby Laughlin (Clarissa); her grandchildren, Christina Melton, Kayla Melton, Christopher Melton, Erica Melton, Lindsey Melton, Allyson Laughlin and Ciara Brooks; her sister Barbara Robertson (Clarence); and her caregiver Carolyn Meche. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
