He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Terrio Montz; his child Robin Montz; and his parents, Helmuth Montz and Mabel Lasseigne Montz. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Hurrelbrink, Kristine Orillion (Devin) and Scott Montz (Shay); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Harold (Lucas), Taylor Hurrelbrink, Meagan Clavelle (Alex), Heather Dawson (Drew), Nicholas Orillion, Dylan Montz, Bryce Montz and Haley Montz; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Liam, Collyn, Levi and Blakely.
