He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne Cambre Bourgeois; his parents, Paul Bourgeois and Martha T. Bourgeois; and his sister Rita Madere (late Antoine). He is survived by: his son Larry J. Bourgeois, Jr.; and his siblings, Albert Bourgeois (Marietta), Doris Cambre (late Warren Madere), Warren Bourgeois (late Clemence), Hubert Bourgeois (late Mary Anne), Roland Bourgeois (late Eunice), Noland Bourgeois (late Betty) and Lynn Bourgeois (Delores). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
