She was predeceased by: her parents, T. J. Griffie and Ina Perritt Griffie; her stepmother Marie Griffie; her husband D. T. "Bub" Basinger; her brother Bobby Griffie, Sr.; and her daughter-in-law Quana Basinger.
She is survived by: her sons, David Basinger (Amy) of Sibley, LA and Danny Basinger of Ringgold, LA; her grandchildren, Seth Basinger (Heather) of Ringgold, LA, Nick Basinger of Coushatta, LA, Chad Basinger (Haley) of Minden, LA and Kaitlin Sharp (Zach) of Ringgold, LA; her great grandchildren, Alleigh Basinger, Garrett Basinger, Dalis Basinger, Vivienne Basinger, Caroline Basinger, Chloee Joyner and Kurt Joyner; and her caregiver Pearlie Wardlaw. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rockett Funeral Home (2438 Military Rd, Ringgold, LA 71068). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Providence Cemetery.
