He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rowell and Frankie Rowell; his wife Mary Rowell; his daughter Sheila Rowell Owens; his great grandchild Christopher "Maynard" Martin; his siblings, Lucile Henley, Pete Rowell, Carl Franklin Rowell, Marilyn Hoskins and Marcia Kay; Jerry Joyner.
He is survived by: his son Harold "Bub" Rowell (Lynn) of Bossier City; his grandchildren, Justin (Mandy Joyner) of Ringgold, Jessica (Christopher Martin) of Shreveport, Joey (Jesika Joyner) of Ringgold and Michelle (Alex "Albo" Stewart) of Bossier City; and his siblings, Lamar Rowell (Debbie) of Ringgold, Debbie Rowell of Minden, Cathy Warner of Bossier City and Cindy Lumpkin of Dallas. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, and a host of other family members.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rockett Funeral Home (2438 Military Rd, Ringgold, LA 71068). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (1957 Pleasant Rd, Ringgold, LA 71068).
