Virginia Digiovanni Gambino Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2025, at the age of 86, Virginia Digiovanni Gambino (River Ridge, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Virginia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Virginia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Anthony Gambino; her daughter Donna Marie; and her parents, Joseph S. DiGiovanni and Alma Dubourg DiGiovanni. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie (Tim); her grandson Frank Patrick; and her brother Joseph R. DiGiovanni, Sr. (late June). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church (10021 Jefferson Hwy, River Ridge, LA 70123). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Matthew (10021 Jefferson Hwy, River Ridge, LA 70123).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests either masses or donations in memory of Virginia to Manning Family Children's Hospital (504) 899-9511 (http://www.manningchildrens.org.).
