He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Shoemaker and Lizzie Carnline Shoemaker; his wife Doris Louellen Shoemaker; his siblings, Clyde Shoemaker, Charles Raymond Shoemaker, Bobby Shoemaker and Carolyn Ensinger; his siblings-in-law, Steve Taylor and Lillie Shoemaker; and his nephew Shad DeLane Taylor.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kenneth W. Shoemaker (Sarah) of Natchitoches, LA and Ruthie Lee Shoemaker Taylor of Robeline, LA; and his stepdaughter Kim Raines of Many, LA. He is also survived by three grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one nephew, four nieces, one great niece, one great-great nephew, a host of cousins, his church family, and many friends.
