He is survived by: his wife Carol Fryer Mendel; his children, Donna Warren (Jessie), Earl J. Mendel, III (Pamela) and Jeffery Mendel (Rosemary); his sister Jeanette Gusler; his grandchildren, Lori Mullins (Matthew), Devin Warren (Arianna), Courtney Mendel, Gary Rousseau, Irene Rousseau, Tucker Loftis and Rex Mendel; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Dani and Cayden; his grandchildren, Bryndin, Austin, Hudson, Lilianna and Ella; and his son Henry J. Knoll, Jr. (Susan). He is also survived by cousins and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to any veteran's advocacy organizations or children's hospital.
