He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edwin Shively and Loyce Atteen Huff (Prestridge); his stepfather James Huff; his brother William Garry Shively; his son-in-law Jackie Roy Kindrix; and his former wife Levader Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, Candice Kindrix and Brad Barton (Shilene); his grandchildren, Graedin Kindrix and Lawren Barton; his siblings, Sharon Duffey (Tony) and Mike Shively; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Ott, Jenna Lamkin, Daniel Ott (Jessica), Michael Shively, Barry Shively, Shaughn Shively and Patrick Shively; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mckenzie, Brenna, Skylar Lamkin, Brady, Jaxson and Presleigh Ott. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home (228 Allen Ave, Jonesboro, LA 71251). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gayla Traina Cemetery.
