It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Young in Ruston, Louisiana, born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ross, Sadie Young, Fred and Rose Ann Roll; his parents, Conrad Young and Melissa Young; his brother Larry Young; his brother-in-law Alvin Miller (Sonny); and his nephews, John Miller and Donald Seever.
He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Eckert Young; his stepdaughter Megan Cohen (Ari); his stepgranddaughters, Sarah and Abigail; his stepdaughter Kim Cole (Matt); his stepgrandchildren, Ella, James and Katherine; his stepdaughter Katie Sumner (Mark); his stepgrandchildren, Aiden and Olivia; his siblings, Lora Miller of Elwood, Jo Marie Ballinger of Cherokee Village, Carol Winder of Troy, Kansas and Ronald Young of Elwood, Kansas; and his sister-in-law Linda Young of Budda, Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
