With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John E Maxwell of Ruston, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Bowman and Bess Maxwell; his sister Patsy Naremore; his former wife JoAnne; and his granddaughter Anna Lind.
He is survived by: his wife Annette; his children, John (Tiphanie) and Jennifer (Danny); his grandchildren, Johnny Maxwell (Mary Kyle), Kathryn Maxwell, Anderson Maxwell and Andrew Lind; and his great grandchild John Emmette Maxwell IV. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to Trinity Methodist Church in Ruston, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, or the charity of one's choice.
