He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tom and Beverlee Biscomb James; and his grandparents, Floyd, Katherine "Kat" James, George and Joyce Biscomb.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Adkins James; his son John Thomas James, III (John); his brother Matt James (Jill); his nephew Henry; his niece Annie; his aunts, Margaret Ann James and Kiki Biscomb Wardlaw (Chastain); his sister-in-law Leanna Adkins Buckley (James); and his niece Hannah. He is also survived by other family members and numerous friends.
