She is survived by: her son Don Newell (Kelly); her grandson Tom; her daughter Nancy Newell Sutton (Mike); her grandson Luke Sutton; her stepgrandchildren, Nathan Sutton (Jill) and Faith Thompson (Justin); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sadie, Abby, Hannah, Jonathan Thompson, Breck, Bennett and Blake Sutton.
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Methodist Children's Home; Trinity Methodist Church; or charity of the donors choice.
