He was predeceased by: his parents, Thesta Rich and Jack Rich; his in-laws, Elton and Mary Mitcham; his brother-in-law Paul Mitcham; and his nephew Stephen Mitcham.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Mitcham Rich; his daughters, Lisa Williams (Mark) and Lori Spellman (Patrick); his grandchildren, Molly Williams, Max Williams, Caroline Spellman and Jackson Spellman; his brother James Robert (Rip); his sisters-in-law, Sondra Odom (Reed) and Wanda Mitcham; and his nieces and nephews, Greg Burns, Jeff Mitcham, David Mitcham, Jennifer Thomas, Jaimie Rich and Stacy Burns. He is also survived by family and many life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (1515 S Service Rd W, Ruston, LA 71270). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Temple Missions or Lisbon Methodist Cemetery Fund.
