It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Walker Swanson of Saint Amant, Louisiana, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Watson "Bill" Swanson and Irabelle Walker Swanson; and his brother DeWitt Francis Swanson. He is survived by: his wife Doreen Pourciau Swanson; his daughters, Tammy Johnson (Jamie) of North Carolina and Michell McNeill (Keith) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Johnathan Cacioppo (Katie) of Florida, Brianna Cacioppo of Virginia, Austin Wright and Brandon Wright of North Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Brodie, Myava, Sage and Zander. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
