He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Betty Hays Lambert and Morris Hays; and his uncle Jeff Zimmerle. He is survived by: his children, Paul "PJ" Hays Jr., Colten Hays and Chase Hays; his mother Sherry Hays; his grandchildren, Ryleigh Hays, Aubree Melancon, Beaux Hays, Asher Melancon, Ryder Melancon and Oaklynn Hays; his daughters-in-law, Sarah Melancon and Cherie'"Cherry" Dufrene; his aunts, Gloria Templet (Larry), Carol Hopkins (Herbert) and Krista Zimmerle; his close friends, Bubba Brignac, Dwayne Kirkes, Lonnie Diez, Jason Walker, Crystal, Wesley DeYoung (Lil Wes) and Ashleigh Campbell; and his pet Killa. He is also survived by Pappy; as well as numerous cousins.
