She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Cannon and Nola Cannon; her husband Truvie Wells; her brother Melvin Cannon (Narvie); her siblings-in-law, Gary Rheams and Joyce Cannon; her son Sidney Reed Wells; and her grandson Truvie Gyles Wells.

She is survived by: her siblings, Carol Abbott (Bill), Wanda Rheams and Bute Cannon; and her children, Trudy Norsworthy (Elvin) and Bradford Wells (Robin). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great grand children, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Wells family to assist with expenses.
