He is survived by: his children, Rodney Melancon (Cheryl) and Debbie Prejean (Kerry); his grandchildren, Storm Melancon, Shianne Melancon, Candice Shoaf (Chris) and Adam Prejean; his great grandchildren, Zara Via, Grayson and Dallas Kayda; his stepchildren, Ted Ivy, Karla Anderson (Gene), Connie Tullos (John Jr.) and Missie Braud; his stepgrandchildren, Jason Anderson, Wendy Phillips (Scott), Cody Braud (Rheka), Beverly Andrews (Vicente Diaz), Ellen Toups (Trey) and Joy Babin Mahan (Justin); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emery, Hayes Phillips, Cain, Calli Braud, Nevaeh, Spencer Diaz, Cohen, Easton, Declan Toups and Brennan Turman; his siblings, Wilton Melancon (Boy), Wilma Schum, Milton Melancon, Mable Braud, Elizabeth Hebert (Betty), Melvin Melancon, Angus Melancon and Daniel Melancon; and his stepdaughter Linda Ivy (Chris). He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
