She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Garcia; her son Wayne Garcia; her parents, Abraham Julian Schouest and Blanche Guidry Schouest; and her siblings, Joseph Robert Schouest, Cecile Becker and Elizabeth LeBlanc.
She is survived by: her siblings, Doris Smith and Abraham Schouest (Abe). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Bernard Memorial Gardens (701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043).
