He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest J. Stephens Sr. and Mary Auteri Stephens; and his brothers, Salvador James Stephens, Salvador Stephens and Edward Frank Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Becnel Stephens; his children, Ernest Joseph Stephens III (Stephanie), Mark Joseph Stephens (Rhonda) and Kristine Stephens Castillo; his grandchildren, Ernest Joseph Stephens IV (Heather), Jacob Ryan Stephens (Karlee), Courtney Stephens Delhom (Brian), Nicholas Roques and Blake Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Sydney Stephens, Maci Stephens, Luke Stephens, Maevery Stephens, Zayden Stephens and Grace Stephens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home (701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
