He was predeceased by : his wife Dorothy Mae Jackson Banks; his parents, Joseph, Sr. Banks and Lucille Banks; and his son Gerard Harris. He is survived by : his children, Gerald Banks, Jr., Kimblyn Banks (John), Chevron Banks-Gauthier (Derek) and Shondell Harris-Boone (Mack); his niece Natasha Green (Jarrard); and his grandson Jerome Reddick. He is also survived by siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
