It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Louis Ross of Saint Bernard, Louisiana, who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John Louis leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Roosevelt Ross Sr. and Bernice Gatlin Ross; and his brothers, Larry Ross, Jerry Ross and Roosevelt Ross Jr. John.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Peterson Ross; his son Maro Ross; his stepchildren, Michael Griffin (Deion), Michelle Cargo (Michael) and Tori Jordan (Jerome); and his siblings, Mary Ross Ware and Charles Ross Sr.. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Celebration Church (5709 E Judge Perez Dr, Violet, LA 70092).
