He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Barnes and Paulene Barnes; and his brother Harold, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Betty "Sue" Barnes; his children, Melissa Assavedo (Barry), Richie Barnes (Amy), Harold Barnes (Kori) and David Barnes (Debbie); his grandchildren, Corey, Courtney (Kenny), Christine (Larry), Devin (Emily), Dell (Hannah), Danielle (Joel), Mollie, Jack, Mark, Mallory, Ethan and Eli; and his sisters, Jocelyn Moore (late Bobby) and Susan Oneal (late Bruce). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Poydras Baptist Church (8213 Saro Ln, St Bernard, LA 70085). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
