He was predeceased by: his parents, William Keith Cook Sr. and Lucille Drews Cook; his sisters, Henrietta (Etta), Joyce Scramuzza and Helen Cook; his son David Cook Sr.; and his grandson David Cook Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Ancar Cook; his children, Billy Cook, Tanya Cook (Brandon) and Tracee Dazet (Henri); his grandchildren, Melonie Matthews (Jerjuan), Gabby, Cloie, Robby, Seth, Lilee, Skylar, Jaron, Sophia, Jovanni, Jesse, Sean and Megan; and his brother Donald Giessler (Hazel). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (5190 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124).
