He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Hamner, Jr. and Mary McLendon Hamner. He is survived by: his daughters, Tricia (Ralph Walker), Kelly (Joel Forbes) and Randi (Heath Hardie); his grandchildren, JuliaRose Walker, Owen Forbes, Addison Forbes, Kaylee Hardie, Tucker Hardie, Jace Hardie, Jake Forbes and Hank Hardie; and his siblings, Tom, Lisa Hamner, Elizabeth and Phillip Stephenson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Capital Area Law Enforcement Foundation (CALEF).
