He was predeceased by: his parents, Ridgely Mitchell, Sr. and Ethel London Mitchell of St. James, LA.; and his brothers, Nathaniel and Leroy Mitchell, Sr.. He is survived by: his son Keith (Hannah); his stepchildren, Jonathan Dumas and Dawn Dumas; his siblings, Harry, Sr. (Lillian), Patrick, Sr. (Acquanette), Blair, Sr. (Stella), Brian (Doreen), Elaine Thompson (Tommy) and Debra Whittington; and his sister-in-law Rose Boudoin (Teddy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Grace Covenant Fellowship Church (2709 Senator St, Houma, LA 70363). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery (13281 LA-644, Vacherie, LA 70090).
