It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Parcels of Saint Joseph, Louisiana, born in Oak Grove, Louisiana, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Bill Parcels; and her children, Jerry McDaniel, Judy Lord, Ronald Gene McDaniel and Cleveland Wayne McDaniel.

She is survived by : her children, Johnnie Faye Straight of Baton Rouge, Danny McDaniel of Waterproof, LouAnn Jinks of Newellton, Cleve Thomas McDaniel of Gilbert and Loretta Daves of St. Joseph; her brother Jimmy Orr of Oak Grove; and her aunt Cletha Mae Orr. She is also survived by grandchildren, sixty-one (61) great-grandchildren, eleven (11) great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
