He is survived by: his children, Ann Katherine Yates (David) of Sunset, John H. E. Downs, III (Christine) of Sunset and Kevin E. Downs (Christine) of Scott, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Ashley Prejean (Mike), Steve Tabb (Anel), Stephanie Tabb, Kevin Downs, Jr., Chris Downs (Tiffany), Zack Downs, Asha Shae Downs and Taysha Azelma Downs. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
