He was predeceased by: his son Leighton Thomas Basco; and his parents, Kiffie Basco and Lois Ware Basco. He is survived by: his wife Janice Guillory Basco of St. Landry; his son Travis Basco of St. Landry; his siblings, Juanita Basco Buxton of Pine Prairie, Frank Shadrick (Judy Roberts) of Turkey Creek and Darwin Bascoe (Lea) of Tunica, LA; his grandchildren, Cory Basco, Brody Basco, Kyle Basco and Kallie Basco; and his great grandchild Emerson Bemont.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Centerville Baptist Church (4615 LA-115, St Landry, LA 71367). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Griffin Hill Cemetery.
