He was predeceased by : his wife Florence Kerlegan Roberts; his parents, Samuel Roberts and Celine Wiltz Roberts; and his siblings, Annabelle Guidry, Vernella Michael and Sam Roberts, Jr..
He is survived by : his family Roy; his children, Angelina Matthews (Warren), Roy Roberts, Jr. (Phyllis), Sonia Johnson, Florita Chatman, Irma Dugas (Randy), McBride Roberts (Janet) and Shirley Lewis (Christopher); his grandchildren, Shannon, Jeremiah, Samara, Ashley, Robert, Mandell, Jasmine, Monwell, Crystal, Alexandra, Traye, Jared, Troy, Paige, Patrice, Tedtra, Roy, III, Jeremy, Eugene, Jr., Chasity, Terrance and Diarre; and his siblings, Elsie Gedward, Harry Roberts, Collins Roberts (Grace) and Mary Louise Ambroise. He is also survived by 40 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
