He was predeceased by : his parents, Tom Lawson Wimberly and Eva Thornton Wimberly; his wife Melba Leoris Wimberly; and his daughter LeAnn Pool. He is survived by : his son John Lawson Wimberly, Jr. (Theresa); his granddaughters, Andrea Wimberly Rogers (Shaun) and Ashley Wimberly; and his sister Mary Jo Newell.
