He is survived by: his wife Ruth N. Cortez; his children, Amelia C. Himel (Robert), Melanie C. LeBouef (Michael), Huey J. Cortez, Jr. (Elaine), Gail C. LeBlanc (Lyle), Lorne T. Cortez, Dean L. Cortez and Travis P. Cortez; and his brothers, Robert Cortez, Jackie Cortez and Malcolm Cortez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
