She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Young, and Wellington Young, Sr.; and her siblings, Anna Brown, Joyce Young, Betty Brown, Paul Young, Johnny Young, Wellington Young Jr. and Ernest Young.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Whitted, Mark Whitted and Stephen Young; her grandchildren, Virgilia Allen-Jasmin (Joseph), Shenisha Allen, Joseph Allen III (Sloane), Jovon Allen and Jeremy Allen; her godson Brian Brown; and her siblings, Valarie Willis, Doris Wilson, Fay Hill (Harvey), Catherine Frazier, Robert Young (Margaret) and Gerald Young. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Williams & Southall Funeral Home (1204 Cleveland St, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
